When you think of a homeless person, an image comes to mind. It’s a conditioned response most of us can’t help. But I’ll wager the picture in your mind is not a 16-year-old from Boston or a pregnant teen from the East Valley. But these two very real young people are representative of the younger-than-25 homeless population in Maricopa County, and as many as 800 of them are looking for a place to sleep tonight.
How does someone so young and vulnerable become homeless?
